No more Buddhism!!!!!

After a year of Buddhism in the dynasty, many people have not like the changes of how Buddhism affected their lifestyles and two separate traditions being mixed together in parades. For about five days now Taizong has been hearing small groups of protests saying " No more mixed traditions with huge events " Many people did not like what was happening at all, some just didn't mind. One reason why this is affecting many people was that they fell Buddhism interfering in their lives would bring bad luck. So to resolve this problem Taizong decide to stop mixing religions in big events and do them separately. They also planned on making different temples for different religions.

Interview with Emperor Taizong

http://www.pureinsight.org/pi/pi_images/2003-7-19-li_shi_ming1.jpgEmperor Taizong.

Why did you change the the facts of  the grand ancestor Tang to you being the grand ancestor?

I changed those facts to me being the ancestor of the Tang dynasty because I wanted people to believe and know that I was the one who develop the Tang dynasty.

Why did you decide to expand the empire?

I decided to expand the empire so that the trade roots would be closer and easier to get to. Also so that I could have a better contact and access to the other places we were trading with.

Why did you add Buddhism as a second religion in the dynasty?

I added Buddhism as a second religion because I was really interested in the religion and their beliefs, so I just wanted to add that religion.

Why did you kill your siblings?

I killed my siblings because I felt I should become the next emperor to rule the empire. I also killed them because that was the only way for me to get next in line and because I helped my father a lot when he ruled the dynasty. So I felt that someone as educated as me should have been next to rule the dynasty.

Did you think that china will be affected by the change of the religion?

I did not think that the religion I added will affect people at all.I think adding the religion will help people learn something new and different.

Religion

http://rpmedia.ask.com/ts?u=/wikipedia/commons/thumb/c/cd/Mahayanabuddha.jpg/89px-Mahayanabuddha.jpgThere were many varieties of religion during the Tang dynasty. The first religion that occurred in the Tang dynasty was Confucianism. Confucianism is a religion that studies peace, justice and a high value of education. Another religion in the Tang dynasty was Buddhism. Buddhism is a religion that teaches many concepts of life and wisdom. Taizong Gaozu's son was the next emperor. Even though his father did not like Buddhism Taizong had some interest in it. When Taizong became emperor he decided to add another religion to the Tang dynasty even though he wasn't a Buddhist or really knew a lot about it. A Buddhist is a person who teaches Buddhism. Buddhism changed china in a lot of ways. One way that Buddhism changed china was that people started to change their religion and practice Buddhism. When they practiced Buddhism they would find their inner peace and monks would sing for the dead. Later in the Tang dynasty some people started to be concerned about how Buddhism beliefs would affect their Chinese culture. Emperor Wuzong did not like this religion at all so he started to attack the Buddhist monks. Wuzong forced 260,000 monks and nuns to stop these religous practices and live a normal life. Once he did this he destroyed artistic painting and staues that were related to the religion.

Culture

Culture was important during the Tang dynasty. There were many parts of culture. One part of culture was poetry. Poetry was important during the Tang dynasty because many people wrote poems in letters to each other to express their thoughts. Poems were also recited in dinner parties and other events for entertainment. A poem always had a theme or message to certain people. Some themes in a poem would represent the understanding of life or the beauty of nature. Another part of culture was art. The kind of art that was in the Tang dynasty was landscape painting. Landscape painting was a piece of art that was painted on paper or silk. It was painted sometimes on silk because it absorbed paint quick. Artist usually painted on horizontal scrolls so on the scroll it would form a picture book. When artist would landscape paint, instead of painting the whole portrait they would leave some amounts of blank spots  to make the painting look perfect and balanced..Some of these landscape paintings were paintings of certain animals,Buddhist, emperors and  nature. These things were painted to show how important it is to them and because the character traits that represented them.

War and Peace Delivered In Chang'an

Taizong our new emperor has finally brought peace to Chang'an. It all started when Taizong became emperor, he began to expand the empire but something was in his way the Turks.
The Eastern Turks invaded China. As soon as possible Taizong used a military force and a secret force of spies to be on the lookout to know every move the Turks were planning. Then he realized that the Turks had split up into two groups.Once the Turks defeated the spies Taizong sent a group of messengers to convince ,them to restore peace and forget their differences. After restoring peace and making friendly relations with the Turks ,Taizong made a trade network system with the Turks." Many people agree on this trading system it is great for china says Li Shang, a farmer in Chang'an.
